Do you need to file Modelo 720? Find out free, then fill in the form yourself with confidence.

Tax residents of Spain holding more than €50,000 abroad file Modelo 720 between 1 January and 31 March. The official form is Spanish-only. This tool checks whether you need to file and then shows you, box by box, what to type into your own AEAT screen.

The walkthrough costs €49 including Spanish VAT. Season 1 covers assets held at 31 December 2026 and opens on 2 January 2027. Full refund at any time before you open your walkthrough, and automatically if we are not live on 2 January 2027. Read the refund terms

What you get

  • A free check: do you have to file this year at all?
  • Guided entry of your foreign accounts, investments and property, with every box explained in plain English and the official Spanish label beside it.
  • Currency conversion at the official 31 December rate, the €50,000 and €20,000 rules applied for you.
  • A box-by-box walkthrough and PDF of exactly what to enter on the AEAT site, kept for 12 months.

What this is not

  • It does not file for you. You submit in your own AEAT account with your own Cl@ve or digital certificate.
  • It is not tax advice and does not represent you before the tax agency.
  • It does not cover the annual income tax return (Renta), Modelo 210, or wealth tax.

About penalties

Since the Court of Justice of the EU ruling in 2022, late or incorrect Modelo 720 filings carry the ordinary penalties for informational returns, not the former extraordinary regime. Filing correctly and on time is straightforward once you know what each box means.
